Description

The 2nd Annual Memorial Day Festival honoring our military, veterans, and fallen heroes with family fun, a car show, community picnic, downtown parade, and more! We will also have a Wall of Honor again this year to hang photos and names to commemorate loved ones, and our annual Wine Walk to kick off the event & weekend on Friday evening.

If you would like to participate in the Patriotic Parade, we would love to have you! Please fill out the application form available at the Chamber, or DOWNLOAD HERE. It's free to participate, so spread the word--this is a great cause--we want to have as many join as possible to show our veterans they matter and we care as a community!

Schedule of events below:

FRI, MAY 22, 2026

1 p.m.           Place Flags at State Veterans Home Cemetery – Michael J Fitzmaurice South Dakota
                      Veterans Home and volunteers (meet at cemetery)

4:30 to         Wine Walk and Play – $15 for Wine Glass - $5 for Water Bottle
7 p.m.

A Wall of Honor will be up throughout Memorial Weekend located in downtown Hot Springs. Attendees are encouraged to bring pictures of their Active-Duty Military and Veterans. Lamination of pictures (first come, first served) will be offered Fri night during the Wine Walk or ribbons and markers will be provided to write names on. It is our suggestion that you include the following information: Name, Enlisted To and From Dates, Rank and Branch, MOS, and Short Details of Serving (Tours of Duty and locations, etc.).
